Those interested in appropriate scaffolding training courses should examine industry-approved CISRS courses that are widely available on the market.
Scaffolding Basic Course
The CISRS scaffolding course is a one-day basic skills course that includes the acute assessment of candidates. Those who have undergone CISRS scaffolding training from parts 1 and 2 have the right to take a one-day skills test course because they usually work at high altitudes.
The course content basically assesses the competency of candidates in interpreting work instructions and describes information that would not be a problem if they were familiar with their responsibilities on the spot and have diligently applied the contents of the training section scaffolding section 1 and 2.
Candidates will also be tested to understand material lists and statements about methods; their skills in component selection and checking will be assessed to ensure their competence. They will also be practically tested on erections and disassembly of various types of scaffolding such as cantilever scaffolding.

CISRS scaffolding course
It is a legal requirement that every erection, change, and dismantling of the scaffold must be handled by a qualified person who has undergone appropriate training such as the CISRS scaffolding course. This is held in two parts; both courses are conducted on 10 consecutive days.
The CISRS scaffolding course from section 1 is a basic scaffolding course that allows candidates to understand scaffolding legislation working with the current Code of Practice. There will be practical sessions to erect and dismantle scaffolding from the basic to the complex.
Independent scaffolding with bridging will be taught with various components used in industry such as truss outs, cantilever drop, roof saddle, gantry, sheet, and safety harness.
There will be a big emphasis on safety and health issues as reminders and warnings for candidates about possible dangers and risks lurking around the work site.
